At IFA 2026 in Berlin, V and Hisense presented their shared vision for the next generation of connected living: V AIOS, a new intelligent operating system concept designed to bring entertainment, devices and services together across the home. Developed and presented in close collaboration with our partners at Hisense, AIOS builds on the combined strengths of both companies. V brings its experience in operating systems, content, advertising and digital services, while Hisense contributes its global expertise across televisions, home appliances, air conditioning and smart energy solutions. Together, we explored what becomes possible when the intelligence of the TV extends throughout the entire home.
The starting point remained simple: TV is TV.
The television is not merely another digital screen. It holds a unique position in the home as a shared source of entertainment, information and connection. AIOS preserves that essential role while expanding what the television can do. It transforms the TV into the intelligent center of a much broader ecosystem, connecting entertainment with appliances, services and everyday household experiences.
While today’s smart platforms largely focus on individual products, applications or use cases, V AIOS introduced a fundamentally broader approach. It presented the home as one connected environment in which screens, appliances, energy solutions and digital services work together intelligently and intuitively.
The presentation generated considerable attention in Berlin. Its scope and ambition raised eyebrows, prompted questions and sparked conversations about how quickly the relationship between consumers, technology and the home is evolving. For many visitors, AIOS offered a first glimpse of a concept that reaches beyond anything currently available in the market.
IFA also provided an opportunity to meet partners from around the world and across the connected-home ecosystem. Discussions included leading companies from the content, retail, OEM and technology sectors, each approaching AIOS from a different perspective.
Content partners recognized new opportunities to make entertainment more discoverable, relevant and seamlessly integrated into daily life. Retailers saw the potential for a clearer and more compelling consumer proposition. OEM partners explored how intelligence and connectivity could create greater value across a much wider range of products.
These conversations reinforced one of the central principles behind V AIOS: the future of the home cannot be created by one company or one product category alone. It requires an open ecosystem in which manufacturers, content providers, retailers and technology partners contribute to one unified experience.
The response at IFA confirmed both the relevance of this vision and the growing appetite for a more intelligent, connected and intuitive home.
Berlin was an important opportunity for V and Hisense to introduce AIOS to the world. It was also the beginning of a much larger conversation about what the operating system of the future should become.
