VIDAA, the Smart TV operating system developed by VIDAA International, has been officially recognized as the fastest TV OS on the market, according to a rigorous benchmark report conducted by WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING GmbH, a leading independent testing and publishing institution in Germany.
The comprehensive evaluation measured the responsiveness of five leading TV operating systems across 11 everyday tasks—ranging from cold app launches to voice searches, HDMI switching, OTT channel skipping, and WiFi scanning. VIDAA delivered the fastest response times in 7 out of the 11 categories and earned the highest overall score, with an outstanding 89% performance rating.
Among the standout results, VIDAA clocked just 0.88 seconds when switching to an HDMI input, 0.90 seconds to skip OTT channels, and 1.88 seconds for voice search. It also excelled in tasks like network scanning, Netflix HDR playback, MP3 audio playback, and DLNA image casting, often outperforming the next best OS by a wide margin.
The testing was carried out by WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING GmbH, publisher of connect magazine, one of Europe’s most respected consumer electronics publications. Their in-house Testlab has been a benchmark authority in the CE industry for decades, known for its precise, repeatable methodology and use of professional-grade instrumentation. All tests in this report were conducted in a controlled environment using high-speed video capture at 120 fps, with up to ten repetitions per task to ensure reliability. Only mass-market, entry-level 43-inch TVs were used to ensure results reflect real-world consumer experiences.
